La Palerna,  Umbria,  Italy

La Palerna” marks the rebirth of the tradition of quality winemaking in the Upper Tiber Valley.

Nestled on the border between Umbria and Tuscany, La Palerna covers 90 hectares, of which 5 of vines planted in 2002, all red grapes. At first it was all international varieties and then Sangiovese vines were added.  Located at an altitude ranging from 550 to 600 meters, with a southwest exposure, the vineyards enjoy both a cool and very sunny situation, allowing for the production of very aromatic grapes thanks to the relatively significant temperature excursions.
